Five Post-Doctoral Fellowships in Digital Transformation

Applications are invited for 5 two-year post-doctoral fellowships (assegno di ricerca) at the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Naples, Federico II.
The fellowships will be part of the newly launched Southern Centre for Digital Transformation.
(This is a First round of hiring. The Centre will announce a second round of post-doctoral Fellowships as well as positions at the Assistant and Associate professor levels in the coming years).
We envision the Southern Centre for Digital Transformation to develop into an excellent research environment with a global presence, and we invite early career scholars ready to make an investment in this enterprise.
Candidates should be interested in participating in a collaborative research environment and to engage in interdisciplinary cooperation around publications, research applications and teaching. We aim to increase the diversity of our department and welcome applications form scholars across the globe. The working language at the Centre is English.
Duties consist in research and publication in top level outlets, cooperation around applications for grants and funding and maximum 60 hours of teaching a year, mostly at the PhD and Graduate level. Remuneration is set at Euro 27.750 per annum.
Candidates research interests should be related to one or several of the core themes of the Centre. (see below, further detailes available here)
In addition, the department has a strong methods and statistics section and we also welcome applicants who are interested in developing methodological approaches to the study of digital transformation (quantitative, qualitative, digital or some combination thereof).
The Department is ranked at the top of the Social Sciences in Italy. It is an interdisciplinary department with strength in Sociology, particularly Cultural and Digital Sociology and the Sociology of Education, Political Science, Contemporary History, Anthropology, Quantitative Methodology and Statistics. It is situated in the heart of the centre of Naples.
