Description
The Doctoral Program in Social Sciences and Statistics is a three-years program offered by the Department of Social Sciences of the University of Naples Federico II. It is among the first in Italy – the very first in Southern Italy – to provide graduate students with advanced education in social and statistical sciences with a specific emphasis on qualitative and quantitative research methods and with an international perspective on the side of theoretical debates. The program aims to produce high-quality researchers with strong analytical skills and international exposure. Admission takes into account excellence in previous Master programs or equivalent. The candidate are expected to have a strong interest in Social Sciences, to be fluent in written and spoken English and to have a basic knowledge of Italian language. Two letters in support of candidate's application are also required (language certifications are not required but, if they are submitted, they will be considered by the admission committee together with other credentials).
